Clinic staff

For front-desk staff, practice managers, and anyone who runs check-in at a clinic.

Background

Today, patients often fill out the same forms at every visit. With SMART Health Check-in, the clinic's check-in page, portal, or front-desk kiosk asks for what it needs: demographics, insurance, allergies, medications, or a short form. The patient answers from a health app of their choice that already has their records and can help them fill in the form. They see exactly what's being asked, choose what to share, and the answers arrive at the clinic ready to review.

At this connectathon, clinics' software and patients' health apps are trying this together for the first time. You know what a real front desk needs, so your view of whether this would fit is some of the most useful feedback we can get.

Get started

All the demos run in a web browser. The patients, records, and clinics are made up. You can go through the steps on your own, or let an AI assistant guide you: the clinic staff track on the Share your experience page explains how.

  1. Check a patient in at a kiosk: open the kiosk demo on a computer, as the front-desk screen. Scan its QR code with a phone, or use the link under the code if you have no second device. On the phone, choose Demo wallet and share. The kiosk then shows the check-in as done, with what arrived. Kiosk check-in describes the hand-off in more detail.
  2. Check in for a visit, as the patient sees it: clinic check-in demo. Press Continue with Demo wallet, choose what to share in the Demo wallet, and press Share selected.
  3. Fill in a form from a health app: the form autofill demo fills in a form from what the patient shares.
  4. Think about your front desk: what would you trust as it arrives, what would you still check, and what would get in the way on a busy morning?
  5. Share what you found from the clinic staff track on the Share your experience page (details below).
